What is an Animal Activities Licence?

Since 1 October 2018, boarding kennels, catteries, home boarders and dog day-care operators in England must hold a licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. Councils inspect and award a star rating (1–5) with a licence length of 1, 2 or 3 years depending on risk and compliance.
